Child Care Centre

Our Educators

We are proud of our experienced team of highly qualified educators, many of whom are long term staff members at the centre.

We value continuity of care and our educators spend time building relationships with all children and families so that there is a sense of familiarity and consistency. Each staff member has a permanent shift that is predictable to all families and children so they can create consistent rituals at drop off time and times of separation.

All our educators are First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma trained. As part of our commitment to life long learning, staff regularly attend training and professional development sessions and many of our educators are studying to further their formal qualifications.

We are proud that our centre operates above educator to child ratio regulations and above minimum staff qualification regulations.

Our Rooms

In 2015, our centre’s educators, children, parent representatives and an Aboriginal Edler from the Victorian Aboriginal Corporation for Languages collaborated to re-name our centre's three rooms. Inspiration for the room names comes from the Dreamtime story The Legend of Bunjil the Creator and Spiritual Leader and the Koori myth Waa the Crow.

Binbeal Room

The Binbeal Room is for children aged from birth to 2 years old. The room is registered for up to 10-11 children per day.

Waa Room

The Waa Room is for children aged from 2 to 3 years old. The room is registered for up to 16 children per day.

Bunjil Room

The Bunjil Room includes our integrated Kindergarten Program and is for children aged from 3 years to school aged. The room is registered for up to 26 children per day.

Part-Time and Casual Educators

Our team of part-time and regular casual staff provide support across all rooms.
